There was nothing wrong with New Super Mario Bros U, Infact it was probably the only software that drove sales and it's the Wii U's best-selling game so far with over 4 million copies sold. Clearly the lesson was is that they needed more software earlier. Nintendo said themselves they had games that were supposed to be at launch and didn't manage to happen. At the end of the day they brought out software that drove sales and they are managing to get back on their feet.
