It's not a prediction, it already happened. The Wii's 1st party tally is nearly 400m, similar to the numbers posted on their handhelds.

What you fail to take into account is that the goalposts are very fluid in this case.

Reality is simply that Nintendo can't sell systems without third parties. Facts that contradict this natural law are anomalies and flukes, facts that support this natural law doesn't exsist but are still powerful evidence. Finally, you completely overlook the important emotional proof. Obviously it feels like Nintendo can't sell systems or games without third party support, so it is definietly true.

Hopefully this clears up the confusion somewhat.
