I believe due to the number of last gen multiple platform games this generation has slowed down after the explosive start but as last gen hardware/software sales decline to a certain point I believe that PS4/Xbox One sales will greatly improve.

This Christmas will be massive for PS4 and Xbox One sales.

You can't forget Smash Bros though

Smash bros will make a big difference for the WiiU but the lacking third party support and the general popularity of the console will hold it back.
