i also agree.  at best sony might find their "avatar" and gets a lot of people to buy into it for a bit but i think consumer interest won't affect everyone and even the fanatics will lose interest sooner than later.   i'm sure the new VR technology can be an amazing sensory experience but it is just soo awkward and anti-social.  i would literally hate myself for using it for extended periods of time.

i just hope sony isn't investing too much here. 

that's how people used to describe videogames all through the 90's until very recently

i'm pretty sure if you're playing skyrim for hours, you're not exactly being very social. and would 'being social' improve the game experience? surely yes in a game like smash bros. but absolutely not in something that is a single player experience. cockpit view driving/flying and 1st person games come to mind as examples

so yeah... i don't understand the complaints from people who never tried it and still lack the vision to see it's very strong points
