Children shouldn't be seeing that type of violence, so I don't quite get what you mean. Thats not for the eyes of children, but again they will always want to see what they shouldn't. We live in an age where kids are technologically ahead and can talk their way past their parents to get these games. Its less about mario and more about COD and the shooters these days. If kids had that clout in the 90's Duke Nukem would've sold massive numbers.

If anything, you're further proving his point. It is about the violence, cutscenes and the killing, and less about being mature games.
