Capcom and their IP are not just up for sale, and no one is going to buy them. There is no bidding going on here. No negotiable price. Capcom didn't even have this takeover defense in place until 2007, now they've decided not to renew it.

Not renewing the defense makes it possible for a company to buy out a majority of its shares.

Then why did no one buy out Capcom in 2007 or earlier when I'd argue the company was in a better position? It's expensive and not worth the effort.

My counter to this is that what I'd Capcom realized that it needs help but back then it did not? Is it logical to think that back then Capcom was in a better financial state and we're worth more?
