With the Wii U, I just don't see it outselling the Gamecube. While it is out selling it in Japan (I think), Wii U in the US is very far behind, and I don't see Europe buying more Wii U's than the US. I also think the Wii U will be replaced soon (2016/2017), so sales won't pick up after that. Microsoft will push the Xbox One for as long as possible, more than 7 years IMO to maximize profit. The US will buy a lot, and Europe will still be buying units, just not as much as PS4. If things go really bad, MS could try to market it as a must have multi-media device, and the Next-Box would be the dedicated Games platform. Price would have to drop like a rock, but I can see MS biting the bullet if it meant that the Next-Box would have better mindshare compared to the One. Vita numbers would be from Japan mainly. I can see it having really long legs there, and US+Europe would add up to the total. |
Just saying PS2 sold 23m units in Japan and I really don't see Vita doing anywhere near that :/
