In this instance, "weird" is not meant as a term of endearment.

If you can imagine being over the age of 30 and going to a Disney animated feature at the movie theater alone, that's the kind of "weird" we're talking about. Which is fine of course, but when you're a 30 something year old sitting in a theater full of families and children, we're not talking about being whimsical, free-spirited or independent. It's just a little odd.

Granted, we can all play Nintendo games in the comfort and privacy of our own homes free of judgment, but again, for the over 30 demographic, which seems more appropriate: the 30 something who plays Mario Kart with their kids as a family, or the 30 something single person living alone, regardless of whether they're playing with buddies or random strangers online?

And yes, there are 30 something, childless couples living together who enjoy playing Mario Kart or Smash Bros or Wii Sports together, but these are a small minority.

Let's just say this: if you're over 30, married with children, or maybe just married to another 30 something year old game playing geek, it's perfectly healthy to enjoy the same Nintendo franchises you grew up playing as a child only now with a partner or as a family. It's just like going to Disneyland with the family.

I think you need to reassess. This is entirely your own personal opinion and it's flawed. You are perverting something that isn't necessarily corrupt. Are there possibilities of weirdos going to see movies like you speak of? Yes. However in many cases it's just because the person enjoys these kinds of movies and there is nothing wrong with that. It's the reasoning behind it that changes everything and people like you that have a twisted stance on it. Not every person whether they are a single male of adult age or not, going to see a movie like Wall-e or The Lion King by themselves is not a crime and shouldn't be viewed as such. How is it different if someone the same age you speak of goes with their wife or husband or alone? Is it weird if a single women the age you speak of goes to the same movie by themselves? Because your answer should be the same for both genders.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
