@ Eric - whilst MK is leggy the first 2 days are still highly indicative of demand, you can't write them off and make out the proceeding 35 days are going to be similar. WiiU got a boost (up YOY 100%?) so it DID get a boost.

fleischr, well how do you think that 60k was split throughout May?

It was out of stock in all major retailers, and Nintendo's stock of refurbs ran out. Hard to sell consoles that don't exist.

Bundles ran out, not the actual WiiU's. Any word on if Nintendo plan to create more?

Nintendo have a lot of surplus stock as admitted in their financial statements last Q.

I suspect that the refurb stock is their surplus stock. They are likely burning out that stock, seeing how figures adjust after MK8 and E3, and will move from there.

Bundles themselves seem to be back in stock online, though the stores around my area of Chicagoland are still unable to keep them stocked physically, I don't know if this is a lack of supply or a high demand.
