It all comes down to marketing at the end of the day. If Lego City Undercover, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World had the same level of marketing push that Mario Kart 8 has had the Wii U would be in a much better state than it is today. You could probably add a couple of million to the installed userbase imo.
