They are not even close to that long in the game. Every Link has "long" sideburns, but none are as long as the ones in the defeated timeline.

None of them are as long as the drawings either, in any of the games.


Now, I think it's great to speculate about this topic. But as far as I'm concerned, while interesting, I think you're reaching quite a bit here.
