I was under the impression this boost was a easter holiday boost not a GTpro boost... It is kinda silly to predict that 50000 people would buy a PS3 for a racing Demo... I remember these kind of expectations for Japan(some people were saying it would open with 200k... only to do under 100k)
I think that GT will boost PS3 some, so these 100k should remain stable for next week. Then it will return to its Pre- holiday high.
But still, 100k is very impressive. I think you guys are just attributing it to the wrong source.
If you guys did not notice the Wii also say a big boost- what is coming out for Wii this week in others? right... nothing.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
