Considering they wanted this title to compete with the big boys, and they haven't announced numbers, it's pretty obvious that it didn't beat expectations. That is just PR speak. Either that or MS didn't feel the numbers, both SW and HW, and didn't want numbers released.

And knock off the "no numbers doesn't mean anything" stuff. Of course it does. This game was hyped up to be the GOTY. The savior of the One. And not just by fans, but MS, too. If the numbers were just awesome, you can bet they would be screaming them from the mountain tops.

Where are the Battlefield 4 or CoD:Ghosts numbers? Where were Killzone SF numbers after 3 months? Were are Infamous SS number? Tomb Raide DE? MGS:GZ?

You assume to much.

Sony released both infamous and KZ numbers lol

You mean, this http://www.polygon.com/2014/4/10/5600894/infamous-second-son-sales-1m-units-in-nine-days ?? So, how things have been going in the last 50 days?

Or this http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/29/killzone-shadow-fall-sales-exceeded-2-1-million-units-as-of-january-15/

Game companies don´t have the tradition to disclaim sales for every title very often. EA is even more slight. Others, like Sony, like to show some few milestones.

PS: VGChartz surely dosen´t belive Sony statement http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=killzone  http://www.vgchartz.com/game/71541/infamous-second-son/
