Not necessarily. They might be pleased as they claim, but:

a) Know that numbers will be scrutinized against multiplat titles and will seem low due to not releasing on all platforms

b) Are pleased with MS numbers, but regret losing out on Sony install base

c) Don't give a damn what people on forums think

Yeah so a and b would sort of mean they are disappointed with its sales.

And if they didn't care what people think then they would release the total amount sold. 

I might have worded it too vague.

a) even if the X1 attach rate were 100%, it would still be worse than Watch Dogs. 

b has nothing to do with realized sales, and c means that they could care less what people on forums think.

Titanfall has been a success for all, and TF2 will be at least twice as big. Regardless if they announce their sales or not.

Most all of their consumers play the game, they don't play sales receipts.
