Their conference was good, but I'm really starting to feel the lack of third party games is hurting them. During the dark times during the Wii gen, it seemed like I'd always see some little, unexpected third party title to lighten my mood when Nintendo horribly dropped the ball at E3. There was none of that this time - thought their E3 was good anyway. Also, Mario Maker looks like a dream come true. Now call me back when Mario Maker 3D releases - I'd literally buy a $300 system just for that.

Great post. :) I mostly agree with everything you said, except for Zelda. I'm a huge fan of cel-shading. I think there's a lot of potential for gorgeous, non-demanding games there, but it's been horribly underutilized. I've been waiting 8 long years for a AAA cel-shaded game, and I've always known that Zelda is my best chance of getting it - but Nintendo released that weak little Wii last gen, so the wait was on. You can imagine how hyped I was when I saw this E3's trailer! It honestly looks better than the Witcher 3 to my eyes right now, haha.
I like that they're bringing in new tech - it spices things up. I would really like for the world and its inhabitants to be radically different from any prior Zelda, like WW was back in the day - though I doubt that'll be the case. The Link they showed is probably from really early in the game; we all know he'll get the master sword and green tunic at some point, so I wouldn't worry.
