What justifies a win? Popular opinion? If so, then yes they definitely won. Unfortunately, 90% of the games they revealed aren't even coming out this year, and their sales will suffer greatly for it. Not to mention, hardly any of the 3rd parties even mentioned Wii U as a platform for their games. They may have won the mind share of the E3 audience, but that's not gonna be enough to help them in the long run or the short term for that matter.

Maybe not enough but at least they are trying very hard to appeal to gamers again. They made a good effort and they showed its results on E3. Will the games take some time to be launched? Yes they will, that's natural and it may not benefit Nintendo in the very short-term like you said. But they will eventually come and, E3 wise, Nintendo was superior to Sony and Microsoft. I wish they had the same attitude as Nintendo is having now (probably forced due to bad results, but they're showing it).
