I wouldn't really say that's entirely true at all.
For one thing, I have a feeling we'll wind up getting at least one surprise title (even if it's just an eShop game) that they didn't announce at e3. For another, there is the Wii Sports Club retail release coming soon, that they haven't even really mentioned.
And for yet another thing, there is SO much eShop content coming down the pipeline, starting for me with Shovel Knight (FINALLY) on June 26th, that I can't find any room to say "there's no games coming", at all.
I'll admit that I am disappointed that Yarn Yoshi isn't a 2014 title. I totally expected it to be, and I wish it was, because it looks bad ass and I want to play it. Same thing could be said for X, I suppose. It really is too bad that some of these games are taking these development teams (including Nintendo's own) longer than they obviously originally thought they would to make. On the other hand, Nintendo has always "taken as long as it needs to take" to make their games, they rarely rush anything, and the quality usually shows in the end.
And again, there is SO much eShop content coming, between the VC releases (I'm still waiting on several GBA games I want), and the massive wave of indie titles coming.....there really isn't all that much room to say "I have nothing to play on Wii U". Once again, Fall/Holiday seems to be when Wii U is getting most of it's retail titles. But there are plenty of eShop games to keep my more than satisfied, personally.
