My quick impressions of my new Wii U

If you think that NSMB U and NSMB Wii look even remotely similar you need to have your eyes checked out. Of course a 3D game such as Mario Kart 8 or Super Mario 3D World is going to look better but plug in your Wii and switch between them - there's a HUUUUUGE difference between the two.
