Yeah this whole outrage at indies is stupid. A good games ecosystem requires a different range of games and genres, otherwise the consoles will just be called "Shooter boxes".
If i dont like the indie games i wont buy them, the same as AAA games. A good game is a good game regardless of its scope/scale and money spent on it. A game with $10m spent on it, doesnt necessarily make it enjoyable.
I think two perfect examples of great future indie games is the Witness and No Mans Sky, they are just glorious looking, and very exciting prospects.
