IF you can't tell from the bundling, free game offers, or heavy advertisements.... MK8 is Nintendo's key to creating sustained sales in WiiU. These actions are being done instead of dropping the WiiU's price.
It also makes a lot more sense. Use a high profile, mass market game, loved by everyone to force the Wii down your throat. Far more effective than a loss leading $50 price drop on the system.
