| Mensrea said: Skyward Sword was probably the most puzzle centric Zelda game ever, and I wasn't a huge fan. It has my two favorite Zelda dungeons ever, but the puzzle overload was just too much. Hope they tone it down a bit. My hope: Temples like Ancient Cistern and Sandship, but less puzzles in the overworld/better combat. |
Skyward Sword's puzzles are no where near as plentiful as OoT or SS's. And I don't consider the obstacles in the overworld puzzles. They're just obstacles. I'd love more of those like in SS as that was my favorite part. At least until they started backtracking. But there was a satisfying sense of progression.
In my opinion, Wind Waker has the best combat of any game I've ever played. Them working one WWHD before this, and the fact that they are very bluntly taking what they've learned revisiting that game and putting it into Zelda U bode's well for the combat. That is, if they leave shitty motion controls out, or at least optional.
The fact that they're bringing bomb arrows back is also a good sign that combat will be a strong focus.
