Well just checked, your right. My bad, but still the point i was trying to make is the figurines will work with many different franchises instead of being locked into one, so it doesn't squash everything else. If somebody wanted to play new metroid and had already bought a Samus figurine for SSB for its features... Now lets say that same figurine has data that when playing a metroid game gave you access for a new suit or gave additional power ups to the player that would be awesome. Or maybe a Zero Suit Samus Figurine which lets you play without the suit in th game at times? Possibilities are endless. Some people here might only collect a few just because they like the Zelda franchise or the DK one. Bringing them to multiple franchises definitely seems to be a win/win |
I am curious to see what they do before I would call it a "win". I also don't understand why they didn't do Pokemon.
Without Pokemon, they will have maybe 20 unique characters? Disney has hundreds of characters from their movies (including Marvel / Pixar / Disney). Skylanders just invents characters with each new game iteration.
