Yeah, gyro controls are unfortunate if you can test it for only a few minutes. That doesn't mean that it won't work, I even play NFS: Most Wanted with gyro controls while I crashed all the time with them at the beginning.
I just watched a video and they said that you play with both sticks and use the gyro for fine adjustment.
The game could be interesting because it will feature different classes in the final version. Should be a $30 game.
