Why Nintendo doesn't (CURRENTLY) need third party support.

With this said, the support they need differs from Sony and microsoft. It is known that multiplats don't sell well on nintendo home consoles, and it is also has been shown multiplats do not drive hardware sales. Lose - Lose situation. Nintendo recognizes this, and hence why they have opted with a different strategy, that is partnerships with publisher eg Sega, Tecmo, Atlus and scooping up projects like bayonetta and devils third. Iwata should consider some western partnerships like a Nintendo themed Skylanders and Infinity game, and more lego city undercover game deals.

Watch Dogs, boosted the PS4 sales a lot. Even in Japan with Wolfenstein and a FIFA bundle the PS4 got a nice noticable boost. Everyone Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo needs 3rd party support. The problem is Nintendo always know to make make a console with a weaker hardware or with a different CD size.
