Why not? a lot of people didn't have the opportunity to play it and this would be a great way for people to play it without having to spend 80+ dollars.

for one: technicallly, chronicle X is not a sequal to chronicle. They have a similar world setting but differnt story. you dont need to play the previous one to understand the story.

 

for two: It would certainly take some effort to make port to WiiU. I hope they can spend all their strenigh on X rather than taking care of making a port.

 

for three: I HAVE PLAYED IT, SO.....LOL
