Should Yoshi's Whooly world be a 3D game? 3D is dead on Nintendo consoles? Game looks amazing though.....

3D games sell more consoles. No one is buying a Wii U for Yarn Yoshi, Clay Kirby, and Donkey Kong Country. Many people would for a 3D open world Donkey Kong in HD, a 3D Kirby game, or a 3D open world Mario.

So is that why New Super Mario Bros. consistently outsells it's 3D Mario counterparts?
