I don't see how devs have too much trouble porting multiplatform games if they don't have to be downgraded as much as people leave it to believe. Is it, because nintendo won't let them update the wii to support 720p? I see know reason nintendo would do that. It seems to me that alot of devs, and others underestimate the wii's graphical performance. They make it seem like the gap is so large when it isn't as much as they say. I really think this is an excuse for them to just port low quality ps2 games or casual games that sell millions. If the wii has reached it's limit at 480p I really think they should explore 720p on the wii more. They will have to do this eventually imo to actually push the wii. It also seems weird that people think MP3 , and SMG already pushed the wii. Well thanks for giving me a better understanding of the capabilities of the wii fazz.

Didn't you just state that the Xbox 360 is 4-5 times stronger than the Wii and you don't think the downgrade won't be significant? Now, do people underestimate the Wii's graphical performance? Perhaps but you really overestimate if you think the polygon count for the Wii is 300 million theoretical. But anyways, see it from a developer's perspective. Which is easier? Taking a PS2 game and make some upgrades for the Wii or taking a PS3 game and make some serious downgrade when porting to the Wii? Secondly, also remember that some Xbox 360 games have trouble running at 720p and had its resolution scaled down. So a good compromise would be to just develop Wii games at 600p and upscale it to 720p.
