Quite simply, no one LIVES The Last of Us. There's fans. Passionate fans. Of both the game and studio. It's a great game. I may even rebuy it if time and cash allow for it this summer.
But some of us have LIVED Halo for the last decade. With the exception of the last couple months when I've finally pretty much gone next-gen only, I've played Halo at least weekly for a decade straight. I went four years where but for a handful of times, my friends and I played Halo 2 or 3 every Friday night for several (often drunken) hours. I've played tens of thousands of competitive matches.
This is the ultimate fan service I've ever seen for a gaming franchise. Ever. All 100+ maps in all 4 engines on one disc, all up-rezzed to play on a current system?
When Nintendo puts out 4 or 5 Zelda games or Mario games, up through the most current one, I'll listen to the argument. Until then, nothing has ever come close to this package - - the biggest franchise on platform that they could easily milk nickels and dimes out of people over years and years by selling it yearly or every other year between mainline Halo games. And you get it all, plus a Halo mini-series, plus 3 weeks of H5 beta access (that many of use would pay $60 for alone - see Crackdown and Halo 3), for $60?
I don't even see the argument for TLOU, because there isn't one. It's not even close.
