It's an option, so I really don't mind it. Besides, like Sakurai was saying, it really opens up custom-character options, which I'm looking forward to. Link vs. Nicholas Cage? Samus vs. Oprah? Kirby vs. Samuel L. Jackson? That sounds hilarious to me.
But at the end of the day...it's just about options imo. Don't like them, use someone else. Ike is still my fighter of choice.
