I think its purely because if there’s like 170,000 to 300,000 Wiis being sold each week the people who buy these Wiis also buy the good games, whether their old games or not, well any games actually. So with the constantly high sales of the Wii it would be normal to expect a constant steady rate of game sales across all games.
Edit: And if the Wiis targeting a multiplayer audience (such as families and encouraging people to play with their friends) then wouldn't you also expect people to hold onto the multiplayer games? can't give an answer on why people hold onto their single player games though :p they must really like them, more then people like ps3 and 360 games lol
