Are Japan's economic troubles behind low PS3 and 360 sales?

Well at the moment on amazon.co.jp the wii is 23,750 yen, and the PS3 is 37,581 yen, or about a $140 dollar difference.  Not sure how this compares to other retailers in Japan, but it seems a bit more than just over $100.

Also, didn't realize the PSP costs more than the wii, or at least it does on amazon.

 

The difference is inflated, as US dollars dropped a lot lately
