^So are Wii sales set in stone after it's first year? it is entirely possible that the Wii will follow a similar pattern to the PS2 and inrease in it's second year, increase further for year 3, then decrease slowly.
I believe Nintendo itself predicted about 100 million for 2010, if this happens then 18 million for 2011 is not beyond possibility. (although if Nintendo were speaking in fiscal years then their fiscal 2010 ends in March 2010 I think.)
Edit, oh and any hardware data from before PS2 will only include Japan.
