If they make a console SRW game (a real one) and localize it for the US/UK... I will own the console it's for.
Period. Those are battle scenes. Every battle scene in SRW is like a cutscene... just some attacks are flashier than others. Think of it like Fire Emblem, only instead of having 1 attack per character... you have half a dozen or more. ^_^ |
I wouldn't get your hopes up WoW. GBA game sales worldwide were what? Under 500K? I can't imagine there is a whole lot of incentive to localize these games anymore. |
That's why I'm hopin it goes PS3. As this is the one series i'm not above importing. If you end up liking the battle system for an SRPG it's really easy to memorize the couple minor details you need in the spirit special skills. You do lose the cool story though. |
I don't see one going to PS3. They'll probably need Monolith Soft which is only attained by going to Nintendo. Also, I don't see the need to put a game that sells most in Japan and does a lot less then 500k sales on a system which isn't doing well in Japan, unlike the Wii which is doing fantastic there.
But then again I know you only want any main series SRW on the PS3 just so you can import it if it isn't localized lol.
Btw, I love the fact the robots use swords (best weapons of all time, btw) instead of some stupid laser guns like in a lot of mech games (I hate guns. Regular more so than laser.. But I see in the trailer guns + swords, which is cool too. I only really like guns in Japanese games, particulary RPGs. That's the only case I like guns in. And I like swords + guns a lot more than just swords.

They have laser and regular guns as well, and missles. fists, pile driver... which is basically a couple spikes that drive into armor... nets... a Bow and arrow.
Lots of different kidns of weapons. Seems you'll like the "Super Robots" better then the Real Robots.
Super Robots are giant ones that tend to use more swords, and rocket punches and the like.
@ WoW, yeah the Nadesico is probably my favorite battleship. After watching Nadesico too i got a better appreciation for the characters... and got to see a pretty entertaining show.
That and Tekkaman Blade... (the small guy with the pilot who's name starts with an english D.) If you upgrade him a bit he becomes an unstoppable beast.
