I agree that petitions are, indeed, a great excercise of power, but I would disagree with your last statement. I dislike these type of online petitions where one person may make several signatures. I was unaware that disliking them indicated that I fear having fans deciding what consoles games appear on!
Anyhow a bit more on topic. I think it'd be great to have a version on the Wii, but only if enough time and resources were devouted to it. As a fan of the RE series, I'd gladly buy both the Wii and PS3 versions
