Well they showed a lot more PC games than MS did, so if that is your metric for success then sure they did good. Otherwise MS's showing was much slicker, Sony had a bunch of technical hiccups, the pacing was slow and lacked focus, and the LBP3 demo was pretty bad, The Order looked like an overly scripted snooze fest.
Sony 2014 was almost MS 2013 level bad, luckily they had some multiplatform indies and Uncharted to save them.
