Original Xbox:  2001-2005; M$ pulled the plug on software AND hardware as the generation was coming to a close.

Xbox 360:  2005-2014, still going and still receiving a steady stream of major 3rd party releases, and M$ isn't pulling the plug on the hardware anytime soon.

Yup... they're doing the same thing with the 360 as they did with the original XB.  You realize the 360 has had a longer life span than the original DS at this point, don't you?

I know it now, but apart from the cross-gen titles and the rest of the games that are going to be released, was there an important title announcement for the 360 at Microsoft's conference? This year's conference focused solely on Xbox One, and while they're not gonna pull the plug immediately on the 360, the lack of game announcements for it is self-explanatory.
