Actually, this is a perfect example of what I was talking about. The auto battle was completely optional, you can just switch it to manual. You don't see people hating on GTAV, Red Dead Redemption, Watch Dogs,  Metal Gear Solid V because of the auto-aiming option, do you? 

Edit: In Watch Dogs you can't even turn the auto-aim off, only reduce its effect..

Not using auto-battle would usually end in you getting screwed, especially after switching paradigm.
