Lucky that both their competitors made some huge mistakes.

Microsoft was just being themselves and all Sony had to do was just sit there. Nintendo had third party issues which is a problem they've ALWAYS had which only blew up when Sony joined the console race because third parties found some other place to go. This has nothing to do with luck. Out of the two companies Sony is the natural balance.

What Nintendo lacks in third party, Sony delivers.

What Microsoft lacks in first party, Sony delivers.

They do what both companies lack, which make them more relevant and dependable, regardless of what haters think.

I am not talking about Sony as a company. Only talking about the success of the PS4. What has happened so far this gen has nonthing to what party the games have come from.  None of them have a good selection to me.

As I said, all Sony has to do was like Microsoft be themselves. The price differential for better hardware also made the difference. People want to be where the multiplats are and if they get Superior versions for $100 less then so be it. Sony has more of the consumer faith right now and its not hard to see why.

Plus if Sony and Microsoft were to go head to head Sony would more than likely win out on internal prowess alone. I dont even need to bring brand power into this.

You got the price part right.
