Not going to happen.

Some of you should look at Superchunck's 7th/8th Gen sales-comparison thread. In weekly sales, the Wii at this point in time is absolutely laughing at the 8th Gen right now (ignoring this weeks convenient boosts because of WD and MK8). PS4 is selling decently at least and XBox One is basically the PS3. The only reason they're both looking good at the moment in lifetime sales is because Sony and Microsoft were both smart enough to pump out 4m of those things for their launches last holiday. I'm also pretty sure Wii is ahead in lifetime sales at this point as well, but don't know about PS2. Wouldn't be surprised.

Lastly, PS4 might last longer than Wii, that could be an argument. But will it last that long? PS2 lasted for two whole generations and had good sales for it's entire lifespan. I say this generation will turn out to be quite front-loaded because gamers were dying for new hardware because last generation was dragged out so long and had the help of 'the casual' for most of that time. And Japan.

PS2 isn't only cause it didn't have a world wide release. I remember the PS2 released 6 months earlier in Japan
