To be fair to the XBox 1, I think XB1 sales are going to be artificially lower than they normally would for those 4-5 weeks because of a Kinect-free cheaper SKU coming, perhaps there was a fair amount of people who are ready to jump in on a XB1, but want to wait for the $100 cheaper variant.
Why pay $100 extra for a system force bundled with an accessory that barely gets any use when you could wait a few weeks and get the same system minus that functionality and put that $100 towards an extra game or two.
If you buy an XBox One today - $499 gets you XB1 with Kinect 2.0 (no game bundled)
If you buy an XBox One in a week - $520 gets you XB1 with Watch Dogs + any other game of your choice.
Provided you don't care for Kinect or don't need it immediately, I'd rather wait the extra week if I was a budget concious consumer.
