You guys are definitely more educated on the subject, so I'd be glad to continue the conversation with you.

As far as having cross buy for identicle titles like VC and indie games, I totally agree. They have a unified account system now. You shouldn't be paying twice for the exact same game. If I remember correctly, cross buy is something that Nintendo is working on though. My guess would be it's an issue with the 3DS. There might just not be enough room in the 3DS' internal memory for the larger firmware files needed to code a more complex system like that. The 3DS store is bare bones. I don't like it at all.

I understand why people hate on the 3DS store, but why the WiiU's? I find it to be great. It loads quick, popular and new games are all on the front page, easy to find links to the VC, indie, demo, and digital games sections. A decent search engine, and that catchy music that seems to change every time I'm on there. Most retail releases are there. The VC was lacking at first but they seem to be releasing VC games a lot quicker now. My only complaint would be that there aren't many demos. That would be a choice made by the developers though. Not Nintendo. I personally like the WiiU's store a lot more than the PS3's.

I don't understand why people make such a big deal about having more than one 3DS or WiiU linked to the same account either. It seems like something only a very small percentage of people would need. The majority of people would just use it for stealing games like me and my friends do with PSN..

Yeah the Wii U store is much better than the 3DS store, I don't see why they can't be pretty much identical though. I agree with the lack of demos, but like you said that's not entirely under Nintendo's control anyway.

As for linking multiple consoles to the same account it is mostly just a convenience thing. While Nintendo's consoles are usually the most reliable they do break and being able to redownload games and save files to a new console is really useful in that case. It could also be very useful for backwards compatibility, transferring save games and purchases forward to the next console. Some people also just have multiple consoles for various reasons, last gen I had 2 DSs so sharing an account would have been very useful for that.

The games aren't linked to the console anymore. At least not for the WiiU. They're linked to the account which is linked to the console. If you decide to upgrade to a new console or it breaks or is stolen, you can give Nintendo a call and they'll transfer the account over. I bit of a pain yes, but as long as you're not trying to switch at a busy time like the holidays or a big game launch, it shouldn't take too long.

The PS system is good, but it's just so easy to steal games. I really think that's Nintendo main concern with letting people attach multiple consoles to a single account. Unless Sony's updated it lately to stop that. We haven't done it in a while.

Why did you need 2 DSs? It seems like portables would have less reasons to need 2. They're portable.. It goes everywhere with you.
