I feel like Nintendo is in big trouble at this point. Here's why:

It's definitely not following the same strategy as the GCN.

They are releasing a Gamecube Controller port for the Wii U and Smash. Not only that, they have clearly targeted this E3 for core gamer fans of the Smash Series from GCN generation especially. You read them as out of touch, but you refuse to accept that you're seeing that company through beer goggles.

Are you kidding?  They are clearly following the same strategy as the Wii.  Make a standard, slightly better than last-gen console, and then strip down features and add a gimmick.
