I don't get how it works. They said that you will still be able to use kinect just as before and still get the 10% boost.

It's not reserved anymore as it is no longer required. It's up to devs now: make kinect-only game, same performance as now (despite obvious performance tweaks, better tools and so on), leave out kinect -> gain 10%.

I agree that is how it is being explained.  I disagree that it will equate to much.  It is only the GPU.

I do hope that it helps in the games not using Kinect.  The bottom line for me is that I haven't had a problem with any of the games performance on my XB1 anyway, so it won't really change for me.

If it does help, it will only really matter to the people in forums and pixel counters.

Well, it will free up 10% resources. How 10% more resources relate in terms of power we will see.

Current example from DF: UFC demo: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-ufc-demo-performance-analysis

Both versions 900p, PS4 4xMSAA, Xbone 2xMSAA. This doesn't relate in 50% performance diff which is given by the hardware.

They cant get a 1 on 1 fighter to run at 1080, jesus wept.
