Whilst I think Nintendo can, and likely will, capitalise on the release of Mario Kart 8, the author of this article attempts to trivialise Destiny, and completely ignores the majority of huge third-party releases coming to both Xbox and PlayStation this year just to suit their needs.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Battlefield: Hardline
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Fifa
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Metro: Redux
Far Cry 4
Diablo 3
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
The Evil Within
The Walking Dead
The Crew
And those are just the games I can list off the top of my head, I am sure there are many more. Do I want Nintendo to succeed? Sure, there are a lot of people out there who love Nintendo's games and it would be an awful shame if they were denied them. Will I buy a Wii U just because of Mario Kart 8? Probably not unless a substantial price-cut is announced. Rob Fahey is obviously a fan of Nintendo and wants them to succeed, but this article is just plain sloppy.
