How do YOU define an AAA game?

If AAA was just meant for single high quality games you could just call it a 90% game or something. An AAA game is something more special.

What does sells have to do with a game being special? I'll never understand why gamers need their games to sell in order for them to feel good about them. As long as it's AAA quality, it's AAA.

 QFT, Earthbound fits AAA and yet it sold like crap because it came out at the tail end of the SNES lifespan/had no publicity.   AAA is quality not quantity my friends.
