Also, they state that you will tire of the tracks, yet there is more in the game than some full-priced games, yet give it a 7.

That would be a stupid way to rate the game. This game should be reviewed just like any other game. If it doesn't have the lasting appeal as other games, then you give a high score like the other games. If they gave a 9, you'd be saying it's right there with Smash Brothers in lasting appeal. |
I second that. Some $10 Wii shovelware should get bigger score as well. |
Well I just don't really think that lasting appeal is a particually good category, there should be something more along the lines of value for money. Because obviously if you compare its lasting appeal too many full priced games then it is going to struggle, but you are paying half as much (in the UK at least) so you would expect half as much content
