Yes, would be awesome. Revelations is still arguably the best 3DS game.
With the install base being like five times greater than it was when RE:R released, they should be able to get at least the same amount of sales for this game. I'd say to keep costs down and make up for the for them disappointing profits, just use RE:R's engine and possibly a lot of assets for this game.
