I predicted 110k, so I always thought it was possible. I just don't see how ioi's 200k claim can be correct, the whole world would need a boost around the levels of the UK for that to happen.

The difference between Japan and the rest of the world is the MK8 promo. Japan only a got a free 1 month trial of an additional game, not an entire free game.

If we see more boosts that are more UK-like than Japan-like, we can make some relatively good assumptions on how well the "bundle" effect worked.

There is also the fact that the Wii U was pulling abysmal numbers in the UK before the release, we see with last weeks numbers that Japan, NA and Europe make up about 31.700 of the 34.600 global total, so even if NA and Europe had a UK boost; that yields about 150k for those regions, with Japan and UK making up about 30k, that leaves the rest of the world with a required 1000% boost to reach 200k, or the other regions having a boost in the area of 700%, especially if ioi's "over 200k" is to be possible.

From where I'm sitting; this just doesn't seem remotely possible, promotions and bundles be damned. I know there is room for amazing percentage-wise boosts when the baseline is very low but over 200k seems highly unrealistic in my opinion.

If there ever was a place where MK8 had a steep climb to have any meaningful bump, it would be the UK. That said, it's not unreasonable to figure WiiU to have an even bigger bump in other regions where the WiiU has had better goodwill than in the UK and a bundle is offered. I just don't see UK being a standalone turnaround region, especially given the confirmation we've had from Nintendo that 1.2 million units of the game were sold. Though I don't think it's over 200k, I figure it to be safe to assume a range between 110-200k.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
