Hmmm, the most appropriate response I can come up with is "Suck it up princess!" ...
There are just as many threads started by Sony fanboys comparing the Wii to the PS2, or looking at (typically third party) software sales between the systems and the recent calls about the systems being in "Different Markets" is just a way of PS3/XBox 360 fans giving up and yet not wanting to admit that the Wii has "won".
People compare the hardware of the Wii vs. the PS3/XBox 360 because they're optimistic about the Wii's potential; unlike the PS3 and XBox 360 there haven't been many games for the Wii where developers have pushed the hardware, or even needed to make the sacrifice of dropping to 30fps rather than 60fps. Certainly, these comparisons are not (necessarily) all that accurate but if someone can claim that the "PS2 can do everything the Wii can do" then saying the "Wii can do everything the PS3 can do" is fair because the difference between the PS2 and Wii is similar to the difference between the Wii and the PS3.
