Lol you know both games jave different settings so impossible to recreate set pieces in a god war fashion. One is god and the other is a oman. Both ahve set peices which are impressie in their own right. Second whether or not the combat of GOW is deep is based on personal preference. I have played all the GOW games and you can get away with mashing one move the entire game if you play on normal. In god of war the key to winning battles is just to memorize the enemy pattern and find one move that they keep falling itno . On hard you need to doge and parry which is to be expected. Theres as much of a strategy in GOW battles than there is in Ryse if you play them at the hardest difficulty. . Secondly if you finish the capaign in 4-5 then you are playing it on easy and not exploring for the additonal items that increases your stats much liek the items you have to find in GOW . On normal is the same exact length as the first three GOW games and much longer if you play on hard and the hardst diffculty . So no idea where you got 4-5 hours capaign. Even GOW games on normal are quite short to be honest. Secondly the combat of Ryse is nothing like GOW. Its more to that of the batman games. If you played the batman arkhma games then you know. Everytime you get perfect timing you get reqrded. Ryse tweaed it a bit and addded it with QTE to get health , strength and focus. I can tell you on the hardest diffculty getting the timing right is not easy and you need to get it spot on or you won't get teh bonuses. You need the bonuses as you don't get chest of life like you do in GOW , Plus GOW deos not have great story. the story is so predictable that it gets annoying especially since the story premise is repeated in GOW 1,2,3 and to some extent in ascension. Its teh same where kratos beleives the god ,, does what they do and then gets his power stripped away , leading him to go on a rampage revenge against the gods. IMO thats not great story.
